How To Make A Book Box!

Welcome to kindergarten!  
Please make a book box to bring to school with you. 

Materials needed:
a large cereal box (Bigger is better!)
ruler
marker
scissors
duck tape (print of your choice)

I used this box of Cheerios because 
1. I LOVE Honey Nut Cheerios 
2. It was the BIGGEST box of cereal I saw at the store.  The bigger the box, the better!


Step 1:
Measure 5 inches from the bottom of the box

Step 2:
Draw a line from the 5 inch mark to the upper corner of the box.  Repeat on the other side.

Step 3:
For the adults to complete- 
Cut along the line.

Step 4:
Cover the box with duck tape.

Step 5:
Write your name on the bottom of the box and bring it to school!

School Supplies

There are a few things you will need for kindergarten.  Please bring them to school on the first day.

A big backpack with your name on it
2 packages of thick washable markers
1 package of thin washable markers
6 glue sticks
10 sharpened pencils
1 two pocket folder with 3 prongs inside
1 art smock (an oversized adult t-shirt works best)
$10 for the class party fund
A family photo to keep at school (4x6)
Girls- one box of tissues
Boys- one pack of sticky notes
A reading box (see a separate post for instructions)

  

 

The folder can be any color or design!

Girls:

Boys:  One pack, any size or color.
